I've created a password-protected *.7z archive via 7z File Manager (official GUI).

When I enter such archive and try to copy some file via F5, password dialog appears which shows entered symbols instead of "*"

If I enter wrong password, MC freezes

Support and Feedback / Re: Cannot drag and drop emails from foxmail

Thank you for your response. I tried using ThunderBird and it worked fine, so it seems to be an issue with Foxmail. I will provide feedback to Foxmail regarding this issue.

No idea what foxmail is or what it does.. But MC support most drag'n'drop formats.. Don't know what special thing foxmail does that make it not work in MC.. that is strange..
Might be that it is its own special drop format and that they install a extension to windows for it to handle it..

I don't think it possible to detect that.

Support and Feedback / Cannot drag and drop emails from foxmail

I'm using Foxmail as my mail client, and when dragging an email (the email itself, not the attachments in it) from within foxmail to windows file manager, it saves an .eml file.
Dragging email into Multi Commander does not respond, no .eml file is saved.
I hope it is possible to implement the drag and save feature, thanks.

Feature Requests and Suggestions / Support bitlocker password-protected drives
« Last post by Jungle on September 20, 2023, 08:24:32 »
I have a bitlocker password-protected drive. When I connect and try to access it via MC, nothing happens. When I try to access it via Windows Explorer, Bitlocker password dialog appears. After unblocking the drive becomes available in MC.

Is it possible to add this behaviour to MC?

1. Attempt to access a drive
2. Invoke password dialog
3. If unblocked -> show drive contents

I'm not able to reproduce that.. Can you describe step by step on how to reproduce that
Also look in the FileOperations log (Ctrl+L)  there you see what search rules it uses and where it searches

At least that is what i see here. Have to select a new RES for the search. :(

If I don't enter an archive but unpack it via Alt+F6, password dialog shows "*"

I've also created a password-protected *.zip archive via 7z File Manager (official GUI).

When I enter such archive and try to copy some file via F5, password dialog appears. If I press Esc, password dialog reappears.

If I don't enter an archive but unpack it via Alt+F6, password dialog is correctly closed via Esc and is not reshown.

MC do not have its own regex engine. it is using the reqex engine that is included in C++. the option for the regex engine is set to be ECMA, but I don't know if they are any exception or if you need to write in other way.  What it support and not, I don't know. I got it to work with most pattern I tried but Im no regex expert. I don't understand what your are trying to so with the regex
