Title: Quick Search behavior like Windows File Exlorer: Auto close search

Hi,

i wonder if it is possible to configure Multi Commander to provides a quick search behavior like Windows File Explorer.
Windows Explorer selects the found item. It seems after a short timeout a new search is possible.

Background:

I would like to jump for example to folder using quick search. But i do not want to open the folder. I want for example run a costum command (which opens a git viewer on that folder).
But after jumping to the folder the quick search popup windows stays open. Only if press the Return-Key the popup windows will disapear. But now the folder is opened.

Do somebody know a solution for this?

If you mean QuickSearch but not ViewFilter then pressing Esc should work

Hi Junlge,

yes ESC will abort it. But pressing ESC after every search is too cumbersome.

The behavior could be improved if "Selection Methods->Select and Unselected when navigation over files and folders" is checked.
I unchecked this setting to be able to select files  which are not directly in a row  using the Windows Explorer keyboard scheme.
