Last 2.7 build 1171 version.
I don't create the 7z files. Downloaded from internet.
Try to download and open for example mkvtoolnix (a great mkv tool) from:
http://www.videohelp.com/download/mkvtoolnix-unicode-5.7.0.7z
or Far Manager (a text old style File manager).
www.farmanager.com (7z compressed file)

PD: I have about 60-70% of spanish translation.

Ok.
With 7z File Manager, looking the 7z files with the 'bold problem', i see where is the bug/problem.
All 7z files with BOLD font are with "Extended Attributes" like D_ or A_ in 7z File Manager (9.20 version)
And MultiCommander can´t manage this type of 7z (No size, date, info etc.) and is impossible to view
files under folders. Internet not show info about 7z with Attributes D_ A_.
Look this pic capture from 7z File Manager.
May be i´m completely wrong with my view of the problem, but i´m try to help you.

I have the Color by File matching option enabled.
Adding for example the *.iso file to the 7z file, in one panel is correct with color matching,
but in the other panel look this pic...

Note: The font tested change to BOLD on with 7z problem. And the normal listing files is Normal (no bold)

EDIT: Testing in my other PC with clean installation and all default, the problem is the same. Font change to BOLD
in the sames 7z files. I don´t have any fonts settings in BOLD style.

Is strange, always is the same 7z files. With others 7z files the font is the normal configured.
I will put another screens with different 7z files.
The font is Droid Sans Mono, 10 normal.

OOPS... I missing a detail. No file extension, size, date info in this bug 7z files. (may be the 7z header?)

EDIT: With another font, ex. Arial, is the same problem.

My votes...

- Thumbnail view in Explorer Panel, Show all files with a larger image that is a Thumbnail of the file if the file is a picture file.
  (Thumbnails in both list and detail mode have been requested,
  in detail mode there would be possible to show more picture info in multiple lines next to the image)
- Show a Preview pane in the opposite panel
- Show System/Hidden files with a special or lighter color.
- Able to Custom colors for file and folder based on name, date, attributes and state (selected, focus, normal)
- Customize the color the progress bar that are shown in the status bar. And have different color for different action
  eg. Green for copy, Blue for move, Red for delete.
- Customize the colors for the Column header, and Toolbar background, status bar.
- Customize the background color for the dropdown list
- Customize the colors for the command line field.
- Tool for splitting and joining files

And the point on filesize numbers ex: the programs show "0 K/3 911 883 K in 2/1238 Files... "  may be  "0 K/3.911.883 in 2/1.238 Files...."

Copy progress bar (Green color)
Deleting progress bar (Red color)
Moving progress bar (Yellow color)
Compressing archive (Blue color)
Uncompressing archive (Orange color)

Will be more highlighting and easy to view the current transferring work.

May be modify to <SUB-DIR> or <Folder>.

I have the align data in column (size) to right, but the <DIR> is always aligned to left.

Like you say Mathias, is the LIMIT of 4 highlights definition. Will be great expand this to more.
Example: i have AUDIO files (Mp3,ogg,s3m etc) (Orange)
                          GRAPHIC files (Jpg,gif etc)   (Purple)
                          TEXT files (txt,pdf) (Dark Green)
                          ARCHIVE files (RARs,ZIPs,7z etc) (Red)
                          ISO files (iso,nrg etc) (Cyan)
                          EXECUTABLES (exe,com,bat) (Light Green)
                          VIDEO files (avi,wmv,mkv etc) (Brown)
So i have a limit of 4. Will be great much more.
Thanks and can you tell me how to translate the program.
