Support and Feedback / Re: Update the Microsoft store version?
« Last post by Mathias (Author) on March 22, 2023, 08:16:39 »
It is coming. It failed auto validation when publishing new version. So I needed to rework how somethings works. MS changes rules sometimes on what APIs you are allowed to use for Store apps..

unless you disabled it,
just start typing and what you type ends up in the command line field..and if you type a path there.. and press return.. The panel in focus will go to there.

Ctrl+E will move focus to the Path field in active panel. and you can changed path there too

Support and Feedback / [Solved] How to assign a shortcut to this location?
« Last post by hervetel on March 21, 2023, 13:32:14 »
Hello,

Is there a way to assign a shortcut (or an existing shortcut) to access to this location directly so that I can change folder by typing it directly ?

An equivalent of Ctrl + L in the Windows Explorer of in any web browser.

Thanks.

I have the same problem.

Attached are the two screen captures of Windows and Multi Commander.

PLEASE fix this. It's really annoying. I like to create text files for notes.

Thanks, AlanJB. I think that's a qualified guess.

The Event Viewer has a log entry around the time it happened last time:
Code: [Select]
EventID 1013
Microsoft Defender Antivirus has removed history of malware and other potentially unwanted software.
  Time: 2023-03-01T10:06:11Z
  User: NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM
The log entry doesn't tell which files were affected, but I'll try to add an Exclusion to Microsoft Defender and see if that helps.

I had some free time this morning, so for the hell of it, I decided to install the portable version of MC... MulticCommander_x64_Portable_(12.8.0.2929) into a separate folder... and surprise... all the buttons worked, but not the full installer version.

I compared all the settings in the full and portable and found one thing... under View - Toolbars... the portable had Standard checked and the full did not... I checked the Standard in the full and what do you know... all the buttons worked again
