Sorry i don't understand.
I modified the Default Picture Editor to use PaintDotNet.exe.
If i restart MC there are 3 editors, 2 times the default picture editor and the default editor for txt using notepad++.
And editing pics doesn't work. I have to remove one of the pic editors.
If i rename 'Default Picture Editor' to My Editor or something, i also get it back after restart. And none of them working.

Dunno if it's beta related.
File Type Setup - editors always adds an extra line for Default Picture Editor when i'm not looking it restarts. As a result, editing a pic doesn't work anymore, if i delete the extra default pic editor line, it works again until restart.

Beta Releases / Re: MultiCommander v8.9 BETA

Hi Mathias, dunno if you were talking to me, shift drag only does a move here, and ctrl drag does a copy.

But that is normal Explorer (and other file commander) behaviour ???

Alan, On the same drive, control drag dus a copy like you told me, while a normal drag or a shift does a move. :)

106
Sorry for missing that. Thanks again.
Great software.

Currently there is no way i can see to set file attributes like readonly to a selection. Thanks.

Mathias,

It's something else, look at the pic, the cursor is on the two dots .. in the top in the left panel. If i now do Edit New File, nothing happens.
After i restart Mc and do the same, i get the dialog.

I suspect it has to do with Sleep / S3, could that be?
I seldom reboot this pc, just wake it up in the morning. I even made an Ahk keycombo to restart Mc quickly.

I'm having trouble with this, i already mentioned that if there's no explorer window focused in the other plane, dialogs for pack / filesearch just don't show up. Now i'm having trouble with the dialog for 'create new file' not showing up. If i restart MC the latter will suddenly show up again so i'm sure it's some bug.

Support and Feedback / file search / pack dialog does not show.
« on: May 12, 2019, 12:33:35 »
Hi,
Sometimes when i hit pack or file search, i don't get the dialog. This happens often if the other panel has no explorer in focus but for instance the file search window or configuration window. Setting focus back to the explorer window in the other pane makes the dialog come up again.
It doesn't always exactly happen like this. Sometimes it comes up anyway, sometimes i need to create an explorer window in the other pane.

116
For the pack dialog, it turns out that the other pane must have a focused explorer panel, else the dialog will not show up. If the other pane has explorer panels but for instance the file search has focus, the dialog will not show up.

117
As far as i can see the only trouble using a single pane is the dialog windows for pack, unpack, search files *sometimes* don't show up. Makes it a nuisance anyway.
Great software, hope to get to know it more.

Support and Feedback / using MC with a single pane.
« on: May 11, 2019, 12:10:06 »
Hi,
It's what i'm used to. I read a post somewhere Mathias saying it was not designed for single panel use. I wanted to add to that post that it only presents a problem because often the File Search, Pack and Unpack dialogs don't show up when using single pane.
I wanted to add it to that other post but for some reason there was no reply button, i can however post here so there seems to be no spam filter active.
