Title: Ability to move Command Line Bar below the panels
Post by: Teo on December 21, 2015, 08:19:18
A minor request: Command line Bar is always on top of Explorer Panels. Even I am using it quite often, Panels have higher priority and it will be more convenient to have ability to move it below the panels, at the bottom of the window. Such command line position will be also inline with "old-school" file managers allowing to have more habitual visualization of the manager.

Thanks.

It is actually supported. Problem is that in some situation is does not work so well
It is a bit tricky to activate.  You need to manually edit the settings definition file "multicommander_def.xml"  (located in config
 folder under the install location)

search for "<itemx type="cmb" key="layout/toolbars/cmdlinebar/location"
remove the "x"from itemx (also remove it from the closing tag 3 lines down.)

Restart MC and go into Core settings.. and you now have a settings for that under the "Command line bar" section

However.. As I said before. It might not work well in all situations.
