Title: Map drive in MC?
Post by: HerbHoover on June 25, 2012, 16:52:59
Can you map a drive in MC?
It's kind of a PITA to break out of MC to just map a drive.

If you go to "\\Server" and right click on a share you have "Map network drive..."

Now you have me feeling really silly.
I cannot find the \\Server setting\button.

it is not a button..
When you list the content of a network server the path for that server is "\\<servername>", and then it will list all network shares on that server.
And then in the context menu for a network share you have that option.

Found  it, thanks.
Not quite what I was looking for though.
Being a sysadmin I'm always mapping drives to all kinds of crazy places. And I map because most of them do not have shares assigned, or they are hidden shares (C$ etc.).

Thanks for your quick support!

Ahh ok..

Well you can always using scripting that use the net.exe command.

net use z: \\computer\c$
