I'm currently reorganizing my data. I have the following scenario:
- Two windows
- Left: Folder tree
- Right: Folder tree
- Select a folder with the mouse on the left side --> ItemList will be refreshed
- Now I see the content and want to move this folder by pressing F6 ( corresponding hotkey for move ) to the right ( Backup Harddisc )
--> This is not possible
- F6 is only possible if I'm in the "listview", not if the focus is in the folder tree.

Am I right ?

It would be great if these hotkeys would also work if the focus is at the folder tree.

BTW It would also be great if moving the folder tree with hotkeys  the content of the active folder is always refreshed automatically.

Thanks a lot!
Frank

Sorry, it was my fault! There were naming conflicts and that's the reason why nothing has been changed.
I only looked at the top of the screen where the new filenames are displayed ( calculated ) . There were empty! At the bottom there were your red notifications about double filenames.
regards!

Hi,
I've check my settings and it's 250% ;-)  It's really a very high resolution, haven't seen any better display until now, it's even better than the Retina displays from Mac. There are lots of programs which have problems with it.
Thanks for your support!

Hi,
thanks for you quick response!
I have attached a screenshot of this dialog, so you can see the issue but now i guess you are right: I'm using a QHD+ resolution, 3200x1800 (13" ultrabook). So, this will be the reason.
After installing MC I opened this dialog very often to optimize the keyboard to my needs because I want to use it without touchpad, only keys. I'm working with it, find a scenario where I  need a shotcut, modify it and retest it. There are many hotkeys I'm not using, so I was playing around the settings.
I guess I can remember me that the autosizing of the folder columns were not working correctly, so I set fix column widths, but I can retest it if you want.

regards!

Support and Feedback / RegExp: Using of '\d' doesn't work
« on: April 10, 2015, 19:18:41 »
Hi,
I have a question about regular expressions in the "multireplace tool:
Assume I have multiple files like "test.txt", "test1.txt" and "test11.txt".
Now I want to use a regular expression like "test\d+"which means "look for all file named "test" with digits.
How can I do this with '\d' or are these "\" flags aren't implemented yet?
Many thanks!

Feature Requests and Suggestions / Keyboard Customizing Window

When I open this window I have to resize the columns for "Type/Function" and hotkey. I don't know why but in my case these columns are always too small, I cannot read the text in it. After I've corrected this and "saved" my work by closing the window and have to reopen it later everything is gone and I have to resize the columns once more. So in the case you did many changes you did these changes may times. It would be great if MC would store these column widths.
Thank you very much!

Hi,
first of all, a big thank you for your great work!
My first thing would be an internal, docked file viewer.Let me explain it:
If you navigate to a list of files there is a third window ( let it be at the bottom ) which is in sync with the content of the file. So you can move quickly through a list of "txt"-files and scan for some data.
This feature would also be very nice when I go though the tree with the hotkeys. After each key pressed the content of the folder is automatically refreshed. ( or is this already possible, I haven't found it yet? I always have to press "Return".
Thank you!
Frank
