Support and Feedback / Re: folder/filder sizes
« on: November 10, 2012, 00:15:41 »
either i'm misunderstood or i didn't expressed it clearly.OK..i don't get the same values...and I want to get the same values...I use 'auto' in size display...for example, I have a folder that according to WE it's 20.6 MB, WC displayed only 20! Where's the 0.6?Another thing is I have a folder with size 4074 MB as displayed by MC, why wasn't it converted to GB?thousand bytes are converted to KBs, and thousand KBs are converted to MBs, how about thousand MB?won't they be converted to GB?hope that made it clear

by internal commands you mean even the predefined ones?like calculate folder sizes, display hidden/system files, select all, ect?i'd really like to put all of this in a quick launch bar..if ever they're possible, please specify the steps..i think they are not the same with external programs that can be dragged and dropped to quick launch bar..

all i want is to make the sizes displayed by MC same with what the properties dialog(size, and not size of disk) displays..that is if you're going to compare the size of a file/folder according to the Properties dialog(again, i mean 'Size' and not 'Size on disk') with the size displayed by MC in size column..you'll get the same value..and that is with decimal places included if there are..what are the steps to do that?what configurations in my OS do I need to change?I'm using Win7 x64..it's a bit problematic if MC displays a size and when i use properties dialog('size', and not 'size on disk') i see another value...

why is it that decimal points are not shown in folder/file sizes?i'm using auto for sizes and there are sizes that have decimal points according to 'right click->properties' but i don't see them being displayed in MC..

ok..colors will do..btw..where's the shortcut for showing hidden/system files?i mean is there other way to turn on/off showing them than going to the explorer panel settings?somewhere that doesn't require the same amount of work?a menu item perhaps..i wasn't able to find one..

if you enabled showing the hidden files, you'll notice in windows explorer that they're displayed a little different..they're a bit transparent compared to others..

why are the hidden folders/files not a little bit transparent?well i thought when checked the option to show hidden folders/files that it didn't work because the hidden files were translucent like the other normal folders..or maybe there's some configuration that needs to be done?

Support and Feedback / Re: windows explorer selection rectangle
« on: November 09, 2012, 10:51:45 »
oh sorry i think i misstated it...what i meant is the rectangle that moves when you move the up, down keys..its default color is blue..what i'm looking for is like what windows explorer has..a little bit transparent..and without the dotted rectangle surrounding it..

well i'm using the up, down, right, left arrow keys to navigate through folders..right to go to parent folder, left to open folders..if i'm in C and want to go to D then i won't be able to do it by using just those keys..i need to go to the drop down for the drives..if there's only My Computer or folder that list the drives then it would be more convenient..any suggestions?
