Feature Requests and Suggestions / another drives list

i think there's no way to get into 'Computer' so i'll be asking this feature i found while testing another file manager..the way it works is if you have reached the root of a drive, for example C:\ or D:\, if you'll go up(by pressing 'backspace' or any other way to go to the parent folder) there will be a list of the drives from the upper left corner of the panel..i know there's already a drop down list that can be displayed if one chooses to but not everyone wants to have something between the tab and the address bar..there are some minimalists who just wants a single line toolbar, tabs and address bar..and besides the list i'm saying is not a drop down, but literally a list that pops in the corner only when you've reached the root and still pressed 'backspace'..it is really like an alternative of 'Computer'..
Btw, the FM i'm saying is Just Manager..still in Alpha stage

i see only 'assign', 'remove' and 'resolve conflict' buttons in keyboard customization when configuring keys so i think there's no way to add another hotkey to an existing one..

An interesting feature in MC that i don't think other file managers don't have is the ability to modify the words, phrases, and sentences that are being displayed in the program through the language editor..just a minor request, please allow the use of  separate phrases for a directory(default <DIR>) and the '...' that points to the parent(default <DIR> also). I personally want the phrase for the '...' to be <UP> or maybe something like that.
I know I can modify <DIR> and have tried it(even modified <JUNCTION> and <SYMLNKD>). The problem is it seems that there is no separate phrase for '...'.
-btw..changing the words, phrases and sentences in Lang Editor is safe right?just want to be sure..don't want to break things here.

ok got it..i thought it will work only with transfers from within the same drive..is there a way to make this work with left button?i tend to be absent minded at times so instead of using right button i may use the left one...

thanks!it works!but maybe better if you'll add an option to automatically intercept drag and drop operations and choose move or copy..just a suggestion though..the right click works fine here!

when i drag a file or folder to another directory in the same drive (e.g source and target are on the Drive D), the operation performed is 'Move'.Is there a way so that when i do the same thing I will be given a choice whether to move or to copy?Actually, I think I've seen this once..I just can't make it happen again..maybe i changed some of the settings.

maybe you can also try to do the same with 'Computer'..i don't mind if it's a plugin or anything sort of that, I just really want it..and some user may want it, I tried quite a number of file managers and almost all of them have 'Computer'..I'm surprised that MC doesn't have. MC has advanced features that others don't have..so missing a basic feature was a surprise to me. Sorry for bringing this topic again..still can't get over it..

i was confused when i used this..in the display there was copy/move while i was  just testing an archive. hope this will be changed..anyway it is great feature!hope it will support other archives and iso in the future..

how can i make a folder that contains all the items in the desktop?I know there is a desktop folder in my account. The problem is it doesn't contain all the shortcuts. Some are contained in another desktop folder in the public folder(for all users).

is there a way to configure the bar above the status bar?the one that shows the number of files and folders, how many are selected, the one that contains the filter field..actually, not the bar itself..just the display of number of files and folders, but if the bar itself is configurable then I want to learn it too..

what icon types are supported by MC for its quick launch bar?because i tried png and it says that it didn't find any icon..i selected a png icon but it displayed 'No icons found in file' or something like that..

is there a way to change the order of the main window toolbars(standard, file commands, and drives)?another thing is the toolbars are always above the command line bar, can i change their position and put the toolbars below the command line bar?or maybe put them beside each other?

please add 'Show Hidden Files' and 'Show System Files' items in 'View' menu..i quite often enable/disable this two and I think it's appropriate to have them in the 'View Menu'.. and also, please add them in Internal Commands so user will be able to easily make User Defined Commands for each of them..sorry for posting too much about hidden and system files,

i tried putting an underline in 'path' and 'status' and worked fine..but when i tried 'filelist' i didn't see any change..anything i'm missing?

instead of closing a directory then renaming it..allowing rename on the tab itself will reduce the work..this can be done by adding a 'rename' item in the resulting list of options(the one with 'close tab', 'duplicate tab', etc..items) when right clicking a tab..if this won't work then a 'Rename' item in 'File' menu will do..another option is by slow double click on the tab..just like renaming a normal file or folder..

i know that if there's no folder in focus, the sizes of all of the folders will be calculated..what i meant is a feature that even if there is a folder in focus, the sizes of all of the folders will be displayed..it doesn't matter where the focus rectangle is..if it is enabled all of the folders in that directory will have their sizes displayed..
