Hi Mathias - some feedback for you.

Build 2983 seems to have fixed the race condition causing custom key bindings to be lost.  Tested for nearly two months now.

Is it all keys or some ?
I have not been able to reproduce it.  But it loads keys and other things parallel during start up so it can be a race condition.. it can be that some commands are setup before all customized keys are finished loaded. I will move around so customized keys are loaded earlier for the next release.

Hi Mathias.  For me it's all user-defined keys.  Key bindings revert to OOB values.

I use COMODO Internet Security Premium (free)

I'm using Avast Premium (paid for), so that's not a common factor...

I also have this problem once or twice a week.  I agree it is more likely to occur when I close & restart MC quickly.

I have noticed that when the instance without a loaded CustomKeymappings.xml is closed, it does not overwrite my (correct) CustomKeymappings.xml.
So a restart (or three) of the program eventually reads and loads the correct CustomKeymappings.xml

@total_annihilation00, what antivirus do you use?

Can you provide brief examples of the arguments available to new Custom Commands MC.BackupConfig and MC.RestoreConfig?  Thanks.

SRY, as for the buttons font, MC goes back to default font after restart.
and as for the tabs on the tab panel I see that if I change the fonts than the height of the tab is also changing in height. Where can I change the height of the tabs as a default.

Did you make sure that MC was not running before you edited MultiButtons.xml?

Built in backup do not just take everything in the folder.. Just the file that belong to MC. and some other things..

But I think I can add so the internal method for backup/restore can be called from script with something like

Could it be your antivirus removing the files?

Is there anything in MC, antivirus or Windows Event logs?

Do you any so-called disk cleaners(CCleaner, Bleachbit, or the like)?

Yup agreed.  The "links" are anchor elements <a> but have no "href=".

FWIW, I have the same thing happen about once a week.

Never found the problem.  All tabs are opened on physically attached drives (no networked/remote/NAS/USB drives at all).

Hmm...

Works for me in MC 11.6 and 12.8.  To clarify, did this start only after your changes of hardware/transport protocols?

Some ideas/WAGs:
Do you actually have access rights to the drive roots?
Do you have any locked tabs?
Are the new drives mounted as shares?
