I am not a big friend of the command line. in fact i never used it. I also dislike the command line in some CAD-Programs and prefer this CAD Programs without command line..... The Jumping by pressing a Key is a common known Windows Feature and should work by default.

Also is there an "exit" shortcut?  I'm used to Ctrl+q.

Alt+F4 is a common known Windows Shortcut, this works for all other programs and maybe it is not wrong when you learn this in your muscle memory.

MC.SetActivePanel PANEL=INACTIVE This create the Path of the Focus Folder or file in a new tab on the other side and i use this with the Rightarrow Button.

"Safe clipboard"  not sure I understand what you mean

When the content in the Clipboard is not a path, the paste will create a text file with the clipboard content. Yes, thats a nice shortcut for a new textfile, but better will be making shortcuts for any new files possible in the User Defined Commands.
If i have a filename without path in the clipboard, it dont jump to the file, it just want creating a new textfile with the filename inside. I find this is not good.

When a full path from clipboard pasted in a explorer panel and the file do not exist, it should just create this file, this will be a nice short way for creating new files.

Sometimes i need a quick jump to a file without filter. Then i use the quick search which should automatically enabled by pressing a letter. But i have to say, it should be possible when paste vrom clipboard without pressing the letter first. And when a path from clipboard not exist, MS should create it. I dont need the "Safe Clipboard"- Feature. How about removing this just?

Thank you very much for your answer. I disabled the icons (yes thats a good setup for me and i will keep it forever) and now it need 0,4& CPU instead of 6%. Sorry, 100%/thread was a bad estimation.

When my Video Download Folder open and i am downloading alot of Video Content, MC need 100% CPU-Power of one CPU-Thread. It seems this is a Refresh-Glitch. Refreshing should not cause so much CPU Usage.

And why dont you just use Alt+F4 for exit? Its faster than pressing Ctrl while clicking menu. Press enter for the message is maybe the same work like CTRL press. Sometimes should configs also working for other users which dont know all the tricks. Therefore remove the message just, this is the easiest method for a solution. And please give us a search engine for the config-area.

I made  Batch-File to start 9 MC-Instances at the same time. Wenn all instances completely loaded are always some of them not visible. Not on the Taskbar and the Windows are completely invisible. I use then the Process Explorer to make the failed Windows visible. A Solution for this Problem will be nice.

With the 7+ Taskbar Tweaker can such multiple Windows in 1 Taskbar Group be sorted by dragging the taskbar Symbol down. Therefore i have then when all Instances loaded also a nice List where the instances sorted in Alphabetical order. This is a nice environment.

Sorry, i have never seen this warning. Maybe i dont know what you and the threadstarter talking about. I thought the thread starter want such a warning..... But maybe there is a warning and the threadstarter dont want this warning. But in my config is no warning......

You can use some Keyboard Shortcuts for minimizing Windows:
Mimimize all Windows: Win+D or Win+M
Minimize only the active Window: Alt+Space+N

BTW, i never minimizing windows, i let them always open and change between them with Alt+Tab, Alt+Shift+Tab (Tab can be pressed more than one time to jump to the next Window in this Last used priototy List), The Taskbar and a Special Function of 7+ Taskbar Tweaker.

Can you tell me where I can download the zip installer for portable MultiCommander_x64_Update_(11.1.0.2782?

MultiUpdate works also for the portable version. But maybe you need this for a offline-computer? Then can you synchronizing the program folder of a online-computer with the program folder of the offline-computer. The most time is it enough when you update the "MultiCommander.exe".

So to force a refresh you need to go to the portable root and do a forced refresh

This works (going to the portable root and doing a View>Refresh, not a "Refresh Devices"). Thank you very much. Didn't know what is a "forced refresh", but it is just a View>Refresh. Ok, Maybe this Topic can be moved to the "Support and Feedback".

How about making the refresh of MTP Devices possible and removing some Bugs of the Admin-Mode as Priority 1 Task? The Screenshot showing my Smartphone with a Multicommander which running some days because i turn my PC not off while ethereum mining..... And now is it impossible to copy files to the smartphone because it works no more when the Smartphone was disconnected and reconnected. And when i disconnect the Smartphone, MC don't recognize it.

With the Alt-Button you get always and everywhere hidden menu bars back. Therefore if you use only a 1080 px rows screen, you can hide it always and if you need it use the Alt-Button.

I tried today to extract a password protected ZIP-File and the result was only a Zero Byte Folder. I made this Operation then with TC like everytime when something not works.

I was testing the dark mode and have to say, it was not possible to go back to my old style without copy back the config from Backup. After Disabling the Dark Mode it will be a complete different white mode, mybe the fonts are then also bigger, but io dont want test this again.

The Font Size in the Dropdown-List is to big and need Antialiasing.

If you use 150% Scale, is this just a waste of space (resolution).

i have a good solution for your Problem. Create a new "User Defined Command" and a Keyboard Shortcut to this command.

This create a new shortcut in the Target Panel, but this works only for one file, not for multiple files. maybe somebody have a solution for multiple files and folders?

copy your paths to excel or a text editorand use Search and Replace to change the Space with your old school HTML "%20".
