Title: Linux replacement
Post by: Pedro Albuquerque on July 01, 2014, 06:53:26
I was very sorry to know that MC can't work in Linux.  :(
I tried two others programs but they don't even get close to MC. Can someone recommend a decent replacement for MC in Linux?
Thank you.
Regards.

Windows and Linux are totally different. Windows program can not run on Linux and Linux program can not run on Windows.

For Linux I use MC (Midnight Commander) but it is a pure shell based file manager. (apt-get install mc)
It look and works like old Norton Command for DOS.

For Linux with GUI I have no idea if there are any good.

Thanks.  :)
I'll try that one since the two I tried were for GUI and light years away from MultiCommander's capabilities.

Hello
For Linux (GUI) I suggest Double Commander: http://doublecmd.sourceforge.net
But MC is more configurable.
