Support and Feedback / Column widths not sticking
« Last post by dBASE ace on March 15, 2025, 03:37:41 »
I have tried saving, to no avail, the columns are crushed to the right when starting MC or when accessing a new subdirectory.
I do not have this problem on other Windows 11 PCs

Windows 11 Home, Dell Desktop
MC v14.1 (build 3017)

Any help is appreciated!

Support and Feedback / Re: Can not move some files

I don't know. I cannot recreate that issue.
I can reproduce this issue. This is a very old bug, and I don’t understand why you are unable to reproduce it. For example, moving and replacing an existing file does not work in admin mode with protected files.

Yes, I'm sure. Another file manager has no issue with it.

I reinstalled over the existing MC... uninstalled and reinstalled fresh... and the same results.... blacked out portable icon... at least I now know it's there, albeit invisible.

Support and Feedback / Per folder view mode?
« Last post by info@sweetman.it on March 05, 2025, 19:56:32 »
Hello,
I'm new to multicommander and I really appreciate it! Kudos to developer/s!
I'm searching for the option that would allow me to save the view mode on folder basis.
Example:
I have two folders:
  • folder 1 (images): view mode > thumbnails
  • folder 2 (text files): view mode > details

Is there a way to switch from folder 1 and 2 retaining the display mode for every folder? Currently, the last applied view mode is applied to everything.
I'm new to MC and perhaps I'm missing something.
TIA
tony

try to reinstall. Look like the portable extension is old and using wrong icon.. the icon library was extended with more icons. so if there is a missatch of versions of the dll's it might pickup the wrong version

It looks like MC can delete folder with this files, can copy, but can not move.
@Sl

Are you sure your credentials allow you to delete from the source folder?
