Title: Unpack an archive from one side to a similarly named directory on the other side
Post by: ags on July 12, 2026, 12:59:15
Scenario
An single archive from one panel needs to be unpacked in the other panel in a directory that is automatically created and named as the archive.

Current situation
The very useful "Unpack archives into individual folders" is there but it cannot be used since it is inactive.

Expected result
Make user's life easier and activate the option.

"Unpack archive into individual folders" are enable more then 1 archives are being unpacked.. then each files is unpacked into the name of the archive.
If you have 1 selected this is already the default behavior.  it set the already set the target folder to the path if the archive name

Thank you for the reply.

I tested again and indeed the directory was created when unpacking single archives.
But a few hours ago I uncompressed an archive and the directory was not created and its contents were spread all over the existing files in the target panel :)
I'll test it a bit more.
