Thank you for your replies.

I found the cause of the problem: some folders had the **Read-only** attribute set, and because of that the **Rename** option did not appear.

After I reset/removed the attributes, the **Rename** option appeared again and now works correctly.

But the Explorer itself has this menu and can rename files.

In Multi Commander, the “Rename” command is missing from the right-click context menu for some folders.

Expected behavior:
The right-click context menu should always show the “Rename” option when a file or folder can be renamed.

Actual behavior:
For some folders, the “Rename” option is not shown in the context menu. However, the same folders can be renamed successfully in other file managers.

Additional information:
When using the rename shortcut in Multi Commander, the program may show a warning that the item is read-only. But renaming still works after confirmation, and other file managers show the Rename option normally.

It seems that Multi Commander hides the Rename command for some folders even though the rename operation

Maybe I need to enable some logging? So you can see the reason.
Because pressing F2 every time I update the archive is not very convenient...

F2 simply did not function until I added the following key:
MC.Explorer.Refresh FORCEREBUILD.

However, when I added this multiscript to the “Delete” key:
MC.Explorer.Delete NOQUEUE
MC.Explorer.Refresh FORCEREBUILD
or
MC.Explorer.Delete
MC.Explorer.Refresh FORCEREBUILD
,it did not update automatically...

Strange work with archives.  I created an archive and tried to delete files in the archive. In this case, the folder is Files. But after deletion, this folder is displayed in the archive. However, I need to close Commander and reopen the archive to see that the folder has been deleted.

I tried to configure the interface so that the tab bar and disk selection were always visible. But I always had empty space left... Is it possible to align them in a single row so that there is no empty space? This is especially important when using a small laptop screen.

I'm from Ukraine and most of us don't use russian software. Because it's hostile software and can be dangerous. Especially recently russian hackers used 7zip for attacks.

I made an assembly based on Double Commander - and I want to do the same on the basis of Multi Commander.
The question is - how should I set the path for the program to run portable Multi Commander with USB flash memory?

I want to compile Multi Commander with some programs for me and my friends.
I have made  Double Commander   for me   -  http://rutracker.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4747769 .
And I want to do  Multi Commander the same like it.
How must I write way for program in the portable variant?
