I thought this issue was corrected, but apparently not...

While I have set the font sizes under Display/Fonts, I need a way to increase the size of the File, Edit, View etc. options. As you can see they are tiny on a 34" curved monitor with high resolution.

Where might I find the setting to increase their size?

Thanks,
John

Could higher resolution be the issue?

Do you have any idea why the resolution would affect these settings.

OK - a bit of further testing. I am using a Dell 34" curved monitor for this issue. Resolution is 3440 X 1440. No errors in the log file.
Testing this on a Dell flat screen, resolution 1920 x 1080, changing the font size to 16, there is no issue. So, it seems somehow this issue is related to the higher resolution?
Any thoughts on why the resolution or other setting would cause this??

Thx

Using MC 16.0 Build 3186. If the font size for Path and File List (these are the only two I tested) is set to a value greater than 14, and Save on Exit is checked, MC does not respect the Explorer Panel settings upon restart. I am particularly focusing on the columns Ext, Size and Date in this test. I have greatly expanded the column width with no change in the issue. After changing the Font values, I click Apply and Save. Please advise me if I am missing another step or option. TIA

In my version, Explorer panel settings > Display > Sorting and Columns does not have the option "Auto-fit columns to view width," only "Autosize columns." Is that the same option with a different name?

Thanks for the information. The "save current layout as default" helps in consistency.

Where can I find the "Auto-fit columns to view width"? Sorry, but I cannot seem to find it.

Thanks,

I have tried saving, to no avail, the columns are crushed to the right when starting MC or when accessing a new subdirectory.
I do not have this problem on other Windows 11 PCs

Windows 11 Home, Dell Desktop
MC v14.1 (build 3017)

Any help is appreciated!
