Script / Get selected(marked) file

Functions GetSourceSelectedFileNames() and GetTargetSelectedFileNames() return values even there are no selected files.
I only need to work with selected (marked) files. How can I determine whether a file is selected or just in focus?

Hi,
I suggest moving some of the main menu items as in the screenshot. I think it will be easier to navigate the menu.
I would also like a fully customizable main menu.
