It removes the Modify Dates and created a new modify-date= copy-date. Most time i use BC for copying anything and MC only for starting programs/Files and Multirename, therefore i see this only sometimes...... I made another copy with BC and the Date was right. Maybe i have some thing in the settings wrong, but such a behavior need imo nobody.

Normally it should work unless you have a very special setup that prevent it from working.

MC do not touch any of the dates on the source file.
The dates on the target file is set to the dates from the source file (Unless the option to KeepDate have been turned off)
And dates for folders that are created are restored again when the copy of files is complete..(Since Windows will update the date of a folders when files inside a folders been changes..)

I don't know your setup and I can't say why it does not work for you.

If that option is on MC will try to correct the file date when copy is done.
But if you do not have permission for it, it will fail.
If something else is modifying the files in the folder the dates will change.
And some network shares on some NAS devices do not even support that the filetime is modified and then it will not be changed.
