MC displays multiple copies of files and folders
« on: August 24, 2023, 10:47:34 »
Hi gurus
I've noticed multiple copies of files and folders are sometimes displayed in MC. I can get rid of them by closing and restarting MC, but it happens multiple times each day.  See the image attached.

Any idea why this is happening and how to prevent it from happening?

I suppose this problem occurs only with USB drives. When I use USB drives, I encounter the same issue. You don't need to restart MC; just selecting "View > Refresh" (F1 in my configuration) should suffice to display the folder properly.

Just press F5/F2 (force refresh)(depending on setup) and it fix it self.. This is an display error only.
It happens very rarly in special situation, often if the filesystem updating a lot at the same time that MC is doing something..  Never been able to recreate it.
