File extension switch on startup
« on: August 12, 2025, 13:48:32 »
I am a new user to this system and find it much better than Windows explorer which I have been using for 30+ years.   I have searched for a method of displaying only files with a certain extension (for instance  *.exe) when opening MultiCommander but have had no success.    Does anyone have any idea how to achieve this (apart from typing in the extension when MC is on screen).

You can enter a "view filter" in the filterbox at the bottom of the Explorer Panel (where total num of files and total selections are shown )
You can quick go to the filterbox with Ctrl+F and then enter '.exe' and the view will be filtered to only show files matching .exe
