It shows that in Windows Explorer. I need a way to get that info from code. I have not investigated it in a while so there might be a way now. Not sure. I will add a investigation task for my self and see if I can find a way

Then they have changed it since I last looked (a while ago) I will put it on my list to check it again and if that is a reliable way to get the path.

In Explorer, select View > Options.  Then tick this setting:

  • Always show availability status

Feature Requests and Suggestions / Google Drive support?
« Last post by Anti-Bacterial on December 08, 2018, 17:38:30 »
In previous posts you indicated Google Drive is not supported because the folder path cannot be identified by MC.  I did a search of my Windows 10 registry and found the reg location indicating the path to the Google Drive local folder.  Open RegEdit.exe and navigate here:

Under here, the Path is shown on the right.  (see attachment below)

Now that we know where the Google Drive path is, I would like to suggest it be added to MC (like Dropbox and OneDrive), please.
I am using MC (x64) V8.3 (build 2469) on Windows 10.

Thanks very much for your consideration.

This is the status bar and is always present.

When appropriate, it will contain information about operations that MultiCommander is performing (for example, the progress and count of items being copied or moved).

How do I get rid of the line of blank space at the very bottom of my screen.  Buttons are turned off, but if turned on, the blank line looks the same, always with a few vertical lines in it, as follows, if inserting images is allowed (here called an attachment). I couldn't get attach image to work, but please reply anyway.
Yes. It is a issue that can happens on some setup. It is a timing issue and kind of impossible to recreate.
It happens when a rescan of the filesystem is triggered at the exact moment when other scan is just completed and is updating the cache.
There should be guards again that. But they are some gaps that I can't find and since I can't recreate it I'm tweaking that in the blind.

But a force refresh will fix it.

Just for some info. Is just some folders ? same drives ?  It is system very fast or slow ? Many multi cores CPU or less cores  ?
Are there something external that are doing lots of updates of the filesystem at the sametime ?
or any other info that might be of relavens ?

There are 'history' options.
The 2 dark blue arrow buttons on the left of lowest row of top buttons will navigate the history relative to each tab.
Hi-lite a tab & move about then click these back/forward arrows to retrace the moves, RMB or holding down LMB on an arrow will bring up the history to see/select the travel stops.  There is a full history button next to them (clock).
Parent is accessible via the 'normal' windows folder+green arrow in the top right of each tab, root is \.

Can't recall but you may need to define a custom command to make these things keyboard shortcuts....

When I change folders, and particularly when I go up one level using the 'Go Up' button, then the items in the target folder appear twice until I hit the refresh button. Is this a known issue? Is there anything I can do to fix this? My install has been like that for a long time now (6 months +) and I honestly couldn't say when it started. It's not a big issue.

Thanks for your help.

I wanted to check on the functionality behind the back button and forward button.

Keyboard shortcuts are assigned as ALT+Left Arrow for back and ALT+Right Arrow for forward. I have even assigned the Go Back and Go Forward as buttons on the bottom.

Regardless of the method (keyboard or button), the result is the same which is nothing happens.

I thought the buttons would allow me to navigate back to the parent folder. But I suspect my understanding might be incorrect.

Any suggestions?
