WINPE 4.0 and MC
« on: April 16, 2013, 19:07:26 »
Hello,

if you want MC in winpe 4.0, you have to copy from win8_x?? the folowing files and from the following directories:

oledlg.dll.mui C:\windows\system32\en-EN ----> X:\windows\system32\en-EN
oledlg.dll.mui c:\windows\syswow64\en-EN ----> X:\windows\syswow64\en-EN
oledlg.dll c:\windows\syswow64 ----> X:\windows\syswow64
oledlg.dll c:\windows\system32 ----> X:\windows\system32

You can add them also before you build your winpe.

Greeting from south-west Germany

Yours

Ulrich

Thank you so much for figuring this out. Explorer++ is not stable under WinPE, but MultiCommander sure is.
Note to Author - I'm not sure if MC is officially supported in WinPE, but I can tell you it works just fine with the above files added.
You may want to consider adding these steps to the Portable documentation. Thanks for a great program.
Tested on Windows 10 PE x86 and x64.
