Bind a Key Combination to toggle "Sort Files And Folders Separately"

I'd like to switch between "Sort Files And Folders Separately" and having them mixed.
I have tried scripting a solution for this, but have got nowhere with it.

Currently, only a trip to "Configuration/Explorer Panel Settings/Sort Files And Folders Separately" and ticking/unticking works.

No I don't think you can script that settings.

AI suggested 5 ways to NOT get this to work, before I had to cut it loose... 

A key binding in the application would be ideal,
exposing the parameter to scripting would be my 2nd choice.

Thanks for your reply and for the magical application itself, which I use for 95% of my file operations...
